Block Paving

Thinking of Having a Block Paving?

Block paving also known as brick paving is a commonly used decorative method of creating a pavement or hardstanding. The main benefit of bricks over other materials is that individual bricks can later be lifted up and replaced.

This allows for remedial work to be carried out under the surface of the paving without leaving a lasting mark once the paving bricks have been replaced.
Thinking about giving your driveway a facelift? At Total Surfacing we have a huge range of driveway paving solutions available to help you create an enviable driveway. Discover our selection of block paving, cobble setts and large driveway slabs, guaranteed to help you achieve the driveway of your dreams.

Block Paving

Block paving is cost-effective, can be installed rapidly and offers a wide range of colours, styles and patterns to choose from. You can select a colour to enhance your property – or perhaps make a statement with a contrasting palette.

Popular styles include traditional, cobbled, smooth, granite or permeable. Different patterns are more suitable for different areas – herringbone is ideal for heavy traffic, basket weave for light traffic and stretcher bond is perfect for narrow spaces.

Block Paving

There are three brick types for block paving: clay blocks, concrete blocks and natural stone. Complex patterns and extras such as edging, steps and drainage solutions that may be required can really bump up the overall cost considerably.

The size of your drive will be the dominant factor affecting how much your block paving will cost, and of course the materials you choose, the contractors you select to carry out the work and your location, will also play large parts.
